Context On Tuesday, October 20, the Palm Beach County Commission will be voting on increasing the percentage of the Pam Beach County Budget that can be invested in Israel Bonds. This vote is occurring just a few days before the Palm Beach County Comptroller has an upcoming vote to invest 67.5 million more dollars in Israel Bonds, which directly finance the genocide in Gaza.  The Palm Beach County Commission has shown that they are responsive to demands that signify a large amount of people are watching their actions. Because of this, The Internationalist Law Center is organizing an all day phone blast of the Palm Beach County Commission from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM on October 19--a day before thee vote that is set to occur on October 20. Instructions on How To Participate To participate in this phone blast, please sign up below for a 30 minute time-slot to make your call during on October 19. You do NOT have to be a Palm Beach County or even a Florida resident to participate. The ILC would like at least three people to sign up for each call, and the number of people signed up for a time-slot is noted next to the time. If you see a time-slot that already has three people signed up, we encourage you to sign up for a different time-slot. If you can only sign up for one time-slot and it already has three people, please still sign up for it.  By signing up for a time slot, we can ensure that calls are organized and that throughout the whole day, the commissioners' phones are ringing off the hook with the demand to not increase the percentage of the budget that can be invested in Israel Bonds.  After you sign up for a 30 minute time slot, you will immediately receive a confirmation email. By the end of the day, you will receive a a script and instructions on how to make the phone calls (you can do so on your own, or join a Zoom call with other people who signed up to make a call during your time slot and an Internationalist Law Center staff member so you can ask questions if any arise during your calls).  Thank you for your help in making sure the world's largest investor in Israel Bonds, Palm Beach County, FL, stops investing in genocide.
